Welcome to my personal pages
I am currently an Associate Professor of Finance at Maastricht University and also hold a position Utrecht University in The Netherlands.
For more than two decades, my research and education has primarily focused on sustainable finance and investments, with publications targeted at both academic and practitioner-focused journals. My research has focused on (i) how sustainability (ESG) issues affect the financial market, investment portfolio management, active ownership, corporate behavior, and firm valuation, and (ii) how regulatory initiatives affect the behavior of investors and companies towards sustainability issues.
Beyond research I have developed two MSc. programs on Sustainable Finance and taught professional, postgraduate, MBA, and executive courses for Amsterdam Institute of Finance, Dutch Financial Analysts Association (VBA/VU Amsterdam), Duisenberg School of Finance, TIAS Business School, and Maastricht University. Previously, I held academic positions at Rotterdam School of Management (Erasmus University), Tilburg University, and Open University in the Netherlands.
